Prof. Zhong Alan Li joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as a Vice-Chancellor Assistant Professor in 2022. Before joining CUHK, he was a Postdoctoral Associate and later a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) in Pennsylvania, US. His research focuses on musculoskeletal organs-on-chips and organoids, functional biomaterials, biofabrication, and neuromusculoskeletal regeneration. Dr. Li has been recognized with several awards, including Distinguished Young Scholar of China-America Frontiers of Engineering (by the Chinese Academy of Engineering), the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine Young Investigator Award, and the Orthopaedic Research Society3Rs Award.
