Speaker
Dan Dongeun Huh, University of Pennsylvania, USA
Dr. Dan Huh is the J. Peter Skirkanich Professor of Innovation in the Department of Bioengineering, the Founding Director of the MORPH Laboratory, and Chair of the Bioengineering Graduate Group at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Huh is an internationally recognized pioneer of organs-on-chips and microphysiological systems (MPS) technology. His group has been at the forefront of developing new design principles and engineering methodologies to expand the limits of biological complexity and physiological realism attainable in complex in vitro models. Inspired by emerging opportunities at the intersection of bioengineering and data science, Dr. Huh’s research is evolving to transform complex in vitro models into powerful data engines capable of generating high-dimensional, human-relevant preclinical data at scale to enable new research discoveries and their accelerated clinical translation.
