中国生物物理学会代谢生物学分会成立于2016年7月1日，由郑州大学李蓬院士担任会长，有5位副会长，94位理事，72位青年理事，会员3000余名，已成功举办四届代谢年会暨学术研讨会，并于2021年7月完成第二届理事换届大会。
分会宗旨是促进代谢领域学术交流、研讨代谢重大研究计划、科普教育、提升中国代谢领域的国际影响力，推动我国代谢生物学的整体发展。自2018年代谢分会组织香山筹备会议以来，分会稳步推进了代谢领域重大研究专项、参与组织国家基金委代谢领域调研、建立我国代谢领域英文杂志水平等重要工作。
分会至今已举办一百多期“代谢鸿论”线上学术会议，开展代谢领域前沿宣讲，并组织Science、Nature、Cell Metabolism、Nature Metabolism、Cell Research等杂志编委见面会，发布会员招聘信息等服务工作。近年来，代谢生物学分会会员先后在国际有影响力的相关领域发表文章共140余篇。其中，李蓬会长、洪诗雅教授等还受邀担任代谢领域Cell Metabolism杂志咨询委员会委员(Advisory Board)。2021年，李蓬院士牵头在Cell Metabolism杂志发表近十年中国代谢发展的简介，扩大了中国代谢生物学领域在国际上的影响力。

Introduction of Chinese Society for Metabolic Biology

The Chinese Society for Metabolism Biology (CSMB) was established on July 1, 2016. It is chaired by Prof. Peng Li (member of Chinese Academy of Sciences) from Zhengzhou University, with 5 vice chairs, 94 council members, 72 young council members, and over 3000 members. The CSMB has successfully organized four sessions of the Annual Metabolism Conference and Academic Symposium, and completed the second council turnover meeting in July 2021.

The CSMB has been dedicated to academic exchange, key research program discussion, and enhancing the international influence of metabolism research of China, as well as promoting the overall development of metabolism biology in the country. Since the organization of the Xiangshan Preparatory Meeting in 2018, the CSMB has steadily advanced major research projects in the field of metabolism, participated in the organization of metabolism-related investigations by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and established an English-language scientific journal of high standard in the field of metabolism in China.

The CSMB has organized over 100 sessions of the "Metabolism H-Talk" online academic conferences, delivering lectures on the forefront of metabolism research. It has also organized meetings with editors of journals such as Science, Nature, Cell Metabolism, Nature Metabolism, and Cell Research, as well as provided services such as publishing member recruitment information. In recent years, members of the CSMB have collectively published over 140 articles in internationally renowned fields. Among them, President Peng Li and Prof. Tiffany Horng have been invited to serve as members of the Advisory Board for Cell Metabolism, a leading journal in the metabolism field. In 2021, Prof. Peng Li led the publication of an overview of China's metabolic research progress in Cell Metabolism, further expanding the international influence of Chinese metabolism biology.
