Asya Rolls, Tel Aviv University, Israel
Prof. Asya Rolls is a Professor at Tel Aviv University and Academic Director of the Blavatnik Center for Drug Discovery. Her research explores how the brain and mental states shape immune function and influence the body’s ability to fight disease.
Her work has revealed mechanisms through which the brain’s reward system modulates immune responses and has contributed to the emerging understanding of how the brain stores and regulates immune memories, giving rise to the concept of “immunoception”, describing the brain’s ability to encode and regulate immune information.
Prof. Rolls is the recipient of several ERC grants and a former HHMI-Wellcome International Research Scholar.
