- Chengcheng Jin, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, USA
Dr. Chengcheng Jin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her B.S. from Tsinghua University and her Ph.D. from Yale University, where she trained with Dr. Richard Flavell. She then completed postdoctoral training in cancer immunology at MIT with Dr. Tyler Jacks. Using genetically engineered mouse models, research in the Jin laboratory investigates host–microbiota interactions in cancer and neuro-immune crosstalk across cancer, infection, and tissue injury, with a particular focus on elucidating how distinct tumor or tissue microenvironments shape myeloid cell reprogramming. Her recent work establishes a critical role for bidirectional tumor–brain communication in restraining anti-cancer immunity.
