Linghua Wang, MD, PhD, is Professor in the Department of Genomic Medicine and Founding Executive Director of the Center for Cellular Language Intelligence at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also an Associate Member of the James P. Allison Institute and co-leads the focus area in Single-Cell Analytics and Spatial Multi-Omics within the Institute for Data Science in Oncology. Dr. Wang’s laboratory integrates artificial intelligence, computational genomics, digital pathology, and single-cell and spatial multi-omics to decode how cells communicate, organize, and evolve within tumor ecosystems. Her research spans the transition from premalignancy to invasive cancer, primary tumor evolution and metastasis, minimal residual disease, and mechanisms of treatment response and resistance. Her laboratory develops computational and AI-driven methods, spatial atlases, predictive models, and translational biomarkers to advance precision and predictive oncology. Dr. Wang has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications with over 70,000 citations, including studies published in Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, Cancer Discovery, and Nature Genetics. She serves on the Advisory Board of Cancer Cell.
