Satchin Panda

Satchin Panda, is a Professor at the Salk Institute and serves as the Director of the Wu-Tsai Human Performance Alliance at Salk. He received his PhD from The Scripps Research Institute and completed his postdoctoral training at the former Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. His research focuses on circadian rhythms and how daily timing influences human physiology and behavior. Panda’s laboratory studies the circadian organization of diet, exercise, sleep, and exposure to ambient light, and how these factors interact to influence metabolic health, performance, and aging. His work aims to develop practical lifestyle interventions that can help prevent or delay age-related diseases and improve overall healthspan.
