Craig Crews, Yale University, USA
Craig Crews is the John Malone Professor of MCDB, holding joint appointments in Chemistry and Pharmacology at Yale. A pioneer in the field of targeted protein degradation, his research led to the development of the anti-cancer drug carfilzomib (Kyprolis) and a new therapeutic modality (PROTACs). Arvinas, a company he founded in 2013, developed the first PROTAC for breast cancer, which received FDA approval in 2026. Professor Crews has been awarded the 2026 Prelog Medal, 2026 Inhoffen Medal, 2025 Havinga Medal, 2025 Passano Award, 2024 Kimberly Prize, 2023 Gabbay Prize, 2021 Scheele Award, 2020 Wieland Prize, and the 2018 Khorana Prize
