Xin Zhou, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, USA
Xin Zhou, is a chemical biologist whose laboratory develops protein engineering and synthetic biology tools to interrogate questions in cancer biology and immunology. Her lab created Transferrin Receptor Targeting Chimeras (TransTACs), a bispecific antibody platform that enables on-demand rewiring of endocytosis and lysosomal delivery of cell-surface proteins. Her group also engineers sensors and in situ recording systems to study molecular interactions and protein post-translational modifications. She received her PhD from Stanford University with Michael Lin and completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco with James Wells. She is a recipient of the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award, the Damon Runyon–Rachleff Innovation Award, the James S. Huston Antibody Science Talent Award, and honors from multiple foundations.
