Tanya Kuznetsova, Deputy editor, Cell Reports Medicine, Cell Press

Tanya Kuznetsova earned her PhD in molecular biology from Radboud University Nijmegen, focusing on chromatin regulation in inflammation and cancer. During her postdocs at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Amsterdam UMC, she used multi-omics to study gene regulation in cancer and cardiovascular disease. Tanya joined Cell Press in 2020 as an editor at Cell Reports and moved to Cell Reports Medicine in 2024. She is passionate about bridging basic and translational science and looks forward to fostering collaboration between these communities.

Lucie Laurien, Scientific editor, Cell Reports, Cell Press

Lucie Laurien received her Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Cologne, Germany, where she investigated the role of RIPK1 autophosphorylation in cell death and inflammation under the mentorship of Dr. Manolis Pasparakis. She continued her research as a postdoctoral fellow in the same laboratory. In 2022, Lucie joined Cell Press as a scientific editor for Cell Reports, where she oversees submissions in immunology and cancer.

Sri Narasimhan, Deputy editor, Cell, Cell Press

Sri trained in microbiology, molecular genetics and metabolism at the National University of Singapore, University of Massachusetts Medical School and Harvard Medical School before joining Cell and ever since has been mesmerized by the daily opportunities to learn across topic areas and disciplines. She is especially interested in microbiology, infectious disease, immunology, human physiology and health. As deputy editor, Sri is involved in developing journal strategy, scientific outreach and leads Cell’s efforts towards improving diversity and inclusion as well as building strong relationships with the other Cell Press family of journals.

Yuli Ding, Scientific editor, Developmental Cell, Cell Press

Yuli obtained her Ph.D. at The University of British Columbia in Canada, studying plant innate immunity. She then moved to the John Innes Centre in the UK as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellow, investigating fruit development to improve crop yields. Yuli joined Cell Press in 2022 as an associate scientific editor with the interdisciplinary open access journal iScience and handled papers across life and medical sciences. She moved to Developmental Cell in February 2024.

Jian Dong, Editor, Trends in Molecular Medicine, Cell Press

Jian has a broad background in cell biology, neuroscience, and clinical medicine. His work has primarily focused on membrane trafficking, protein homeostasis, synaptic biology, and translational research. He conducted his doctoral research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), where he investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying neuropeptide release, dense-core vesicle biogenesis, and synaptic vesicle recycling. He then joined Amsterdam UMC as a postdoctoral researcher, where he led collaborative projects investigating tumor–neuron interactions using glioma and iPSC-derived human neuronal models. Jian joined Cell Press in 2026 as the editor of Trends in Molecular Medicine.

Wei Wu, Scientific editor, Molecular Cell, Cell Press

Wei joined Molecular Cell in 2025. He earned his Master's in Dr. Murata Shigeo's lab at the University of Tokyo, studying the ubiquitin-proteasome system in mammalian cells. He then joined Dr. Georg Holländer's lab at the University of Oxford for his PhD training, studying the role of epigenetic regulation of promiscuous gene expression in T cell education by thymic epithelial cells. For his post-doctoral training, he worked on understanding the mechanism behind chemoresistance in ovarian cancer cells with Dr. Rongyu Zang from Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. Wei is based in Shanghai, China.
