Professor Tom Vanden Berghe is Professor at the University of Antwerp, Guest Professor at Ghent University, and head of the Cell Death Signaling Lab. His research focuses on applied cell death biology, especially ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and inflammation in transplantation, critical illness, and organ injury. He is founder of FiriX Therapeutics, translating ferroptosis-targeting approaches toward clinical application, and is recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher.
