Francis Chan, Zhejiang University, China
Francis Ka-Ming Chan received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and was trained at the NIH as a postdoctoral fellow. He started his independent research career at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and later moved to Duke University School of Medicine prior to relocating to Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China in 2022. Francis is currently a full-time PI at the Liangzhu Laboratory and Qiushi Chair Professor at the Zhejiang University School of Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Francis’ research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cell death and inflammation in host defense and autoinflammatory diseases.
